Welcome to Muslims Business Network ("MBN", "we", "us", "our") — Australia's community-driven platform connecting people with trusted, ethical businesses. MBN is built on the Islamic principles of fairness (adl), honesty (sidq), and service to the community (khidmah).

We believe in building bridges — between businesses and customers, between communities, and between people of all backgrounds who share a commitment to ethical, halal commerce. Our platform is an inclusive marketplace that serves all Australians while staying true to our Islamic values.

By using MBN, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.

MBN welcomes two types of business listings:

• Muslim-Owned Businesses: Businesses owned or operated by Muslims. These form the heart of our directory and community.
• Community Partners: Businesses that are not Muslim-owned but are committed to serving the Muslim community with halal-friendly or sharia-compliant products and services. We value these partnerships and the diversity they bring to our platform.

All businesses, regardless of ownership type, must comply with our halal and sharia compliance standards as outlined below. We believe that ethical commerce benefits everyone, and we welcome all who share this vision.

MBN is a welcoming and open platform, but it is purpose-built to promote halal and sharia-compliant commerce. This commitment exists to maintain the trust and integrity that our community depends on. All products and services listed on MBN must meet our compliance standards:

• Food & Beverage: All food-related businesses must offer halal-certified or halal-friendly products. Businesses must not sell or promote non-halal food items (such as pork or pork-derived products) through our platform.
• Finance & Services: Financial products or services promoted on MBN must not involve interest-based lending (riba), gambling (maysir), or excessive uncertainty (gharar) in a manner contrary to Islamic finance principles.
• General Goods & Services: Listings must not promote alcohol, tobacco, gambling, adult content, or any other products or services that are contrary to Islamic values and ethics.

We understand that compliance can sometimes be nuanced. If you are unsure whether your business or offering meets our standards, we encourage you to reach out to us — we are happy to discuss and guide you through the process. Our goal is not to exclude, but to ensure that our marketplace remains a trusted space for the community it serves.

Non-Muslim-owned businesses are valued partners in our community, and we appreciate the commitment they make by joining our platform. As a Community Partner, you agree to:

• Respect the Platform's Islamic Ethos: Engage with the community respectfully and in a manner consistent with the values of honesty, fairness, and mutual respect that underpin our platform.
• Ensure Halal/Sharia Compliance: All products and services you list on MBN must meet our halal and sharia compliance standards. If you are unsure about any aspect, please contact us for guidance.
• Honest Representation: Do not misrepresent your ownership status. Community Partners must accurately identify themselves as non-Muslim-owned businesses that serve the Muslim community.
• Community Engagement: We encourage Community Partners to actively engage with and contribute positively to the community they serve through MBN.

All users of MBN — whether business owners, customers, or visitors — are expected to:

• Be Respectful: Treat all community members with dignity and respect, regardless of background, ethnicity, or beliefs. Discrimination, harassment, or hateful conduct of any kind is strictly prohibited.
• Be Honest: Provide accurate information in all submissions, reviews, and communications. Do not post false, misleading, or defamatory content.
• Act in Good Faith: Use the platform for its intended purposes. Do not engage in fraud, spam, manipulation of reviews, or any activity designed to deceive other users or undermine the platform.
• Respect Privacy: Do not share or misuse the personal information of other users or businesses obtained through MBN.

Violation of these conduct standards may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban from the platform at our discretion.

To maintain the quality and integrity of our platform, all content on MBN is subject to review and moderation:

• AI & Manual Review: All business listings, reviews, and user-generated content are reviewed using a combination of AI-powered tools and manual moderation to ensure halal compliance and adherence to our community standards.
• Right to Remove: MBN reserves the right to remove, edit, or decline any listing, review, or content that does not comply with these Terms of Service, our halal compliance policy, or our community standards — without prior notice.
• User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you submit to MBN. By posting content, you confirm that it is accurate, does not infringe on any third party's rights, and complies with these terms.
• Reporting: If you encounter content that you believe violates our terms, please report it through the platform or contact us directly.

All content, design, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property displayed on MBN are the property of Muslims Business Network or their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on MBN without prior written consent.
• By submitting content to MBN (such as business listings, reviews, or images), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service.
• You retain ownership of any original content you submit, but you are responsible for ensuring it does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

MBN is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to maintain a reliable, accurate, and trustworthy platform, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any business listing, review, or user-generated content on the platform.
• The quality, safety, or legality of any products or services offered by businesses listed on MBN.
• Uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, MBN, its founders, team members, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to any transactions between users and listed businesses.

Your use of MBN and your interactions with businesses listed on the platform are at your own discretion and risk.

MBN may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, platform features, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the platform or via email.
• Your continued use of MBN after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
